This year’s Leinster Championships will be taking place on July 23-24 at the Royal St. George Yacht Club in Dun Laoghaire and are proudly supported by MGM Boats.
The two-day Leinster Championships event is being hosted by Royal St. George Yacht Club which boasts one of the largest club fleets in Ireland. We’re grateful to this year’s sponsor, MGM Boats, for supporting the event.
The event organisers have announced that in addition to overall fleet prizes for ILCA 7 (Standard), ILCA 6 (Radial), and ILCA 4 (4.7), there will also be category prizes as follows:
ILCA 7 U30 – First, Second and Third
ILCA 7 Master – First, Second and Third
ILCA 6 – First, Second and Third
ILCA 6 U30 Male – First, Second and Third
ILCA 6 U30 Female – First, Second and Third
ILCA 6 Master Male – First, Second and Third
ILCA 6 Master Female – First, Second and Third
ILCA 4 – First, Second and Third
ILCA 4 Male – First, Second and Third
ILCA 4 Female – First, Second and Third
Speaking at the announcement of the event Ross O’Leary, Sales Director at MGM Boats said, “We’re delighted to be able to support the Royal St. George Yacht Club in broadening out the competition and recognising abilities right across the national fleet.”
ILCA Ireland has recently announced that sailors between the ages of 18 and 30 can participate in all regional and national events at no cost for the 2022 season. Therefore all local and visiting sailors between the ages of 18 – 30 can participate in this event for free by simply registering for the event in the normal way and selecting the appropriate age option.
Saturday evening will be a very special night in the club with one of the largest gatherings of ILCA Laser sailors this season. A full barbeque and music will be available immediately after sailing. Prize-giving will take place in the club after sailing on Sunday.
